Lena Maller

Lena is a founding member of FODDAA, proud of not only her Maltese heritage but of her roots in the Forest of Dean having lived here for over 50 years, happily married to a local lad and raising her family and becoming a doting grandparent. Lena volunteered for the Alzheimer’s Society following the passing of her father who was eventually diagnosed with Alzheimers following a series of events around his health. This life changing period was instrumental in Lena’s wish to ensure that others received the care and support so needed in the forest of dean.  Lena was further touched by dementia with several close family members being diagnosed, including her mum. With her growing knowledge from personal experiences, training and a knack of being able to pull the right people in to aid, the FODDAA has gone from strength to strength.
